There are a variety of risks associated with Flagger operations. Understanding the rules are the first step, but completing assignment as a Flagger requires putting this information to use. The format for Flagger safety is somewhat different, in that we show hazards in the video program, ask students to “watch for hazards” and at the end of the program, point out the hazards shown in the video. This is an excellent method of gaining attention, motivation and retention of the information.
